- SUPER8 TAB/ on Saturday, 04th May 2013

Only a select number of modern trance artists can convincingly say they are taking the sound to the next level. Although the humble, softly spoken duo would never shout it out themselves, Super8 & Tab are undoubtedly among them. Renowned for their innovative approach and intricate production values, the Finnish producers have stealthily pushed themselves to the front of the trance pack since coming together in 2005.
Now an integral part of the Anjunabeats family, Super8 & Tab released their debut artist album “Empire” in 2010 and “Empire: Remixed” in 2011, combining deep, brooding vocal anthems, classy downtempo excursions and futuristic trance fusions. An instant classic, it prompted Mixmag to write “It’s a rare and wonderful thing to be blown away by an album on first listen. And that’s exactly what Super8 & Tab’s debut artist album does.”
In 2012, Super8 & Tab added even more classics to their arsenal of floor filling tracks with three chart topping

- SANDER Van DOORN on Friday , 10th May 2013

Thought to be a technical and musical genius by many, Sander van Doorn is without a doubt one of the world’s most essential, influential and popular DJ/Producers in dance music today. Sander has become synonymous with excellence – both production wise and in front of the thousands he plays to, nightly. He is truly one of the strongholds in dance music. A generation defining artist, that reshapes our perception of what dance music can be and he does it all with that electrifying Sander van Doorn-smile.

With two full length albums, numerous hit-singles, remixes of the worlds biggest artists, sold out gigs in all major venues and festivals worldwide, his own successful record label ‘Doorn Records’ and a weekly radio show, it’s almost impossible not to have come across the name Sander van Doorn at least once in your life.

Every successful artist’s story reads as a fairy tale and Sander’s begins back in 2004, with the release of ‘Loaded’. The production skills he showed in his first releases literary ignited an earthquake in the international EDM community and catapulted him in the top-10 of biggest DJ’s worldwide.

Hailed and hyped by all the big names, his typical ‘SvD-style’ productions topped the club charts worldwide and resulted in his first full length album ‘Supernaturalistic’ (2008). More big names started knocking on his door and via collaborations with Robbie Williams (Close my Eyes), his renowned remix of Sia’s ‘Girl on Cocaine’ and international radio hits like; ‘Love is Darkness’ and ‘Koko’ which was premiered by Pete Tong on BBC Radio 1, reached the #1 position on Beatport, The Cool Cuts Chart and the DMC UK Buzz Chart. Sander continued to work hard and the fruits of his labour resulted in his second album ‘Eleve11’ (2011). This gained him even more stardom and allowed him to perfect his already infamous live performances.

While most artists take a short break after releasing an album, Sander kept spitting out A-class releases like ‘Chasin’, ‘Nothing Inside’, ‘What Did I Do’ with Block Party singer Kele, ‘Drink To Get Drunk’, ‘Who’s Wearing The Cap’ with Laidback Luke and ‘Kangaroo’ with youngster Julian Jordan.

In January 2013, Sander released ‘Joyenergizer’, a monster hit with a perfect balance between techy tribal intro beats, an incredible progressive melodic break and deep electro house sounds. ‘Joyenergizer’ truly offers the best of three worlds and reached the top of all Dance Charts globally; #2 in Beatport’s main chart and a #1 position in the DMC UK Buzz Chart.

In March 2013, Sander unleashed ‘TEN’ together with Mark Knight vs Underworld, which stormed directly into the top ten in Beatport’s main chart and we mustn’t forget to mention the beautiful artwork that was done by MM (Maxim from The Prodigy). Back from Miami playing at Ultra Music Festival, Sander’s new release ‘Into The Light’, collaboration with DubVision is set for April 29th.

Headlining all the big festivals around the globe, producing new tracks & with special collaborations coming up, 2013 looks like it’s going to be another big year for Sander.

THIRD PARTY

Those claiming immunity to the elegant rage of the European Progressive House resurgence are clearly yet to come across enigmatic London duo Third Party. Transitioning from precious Progressive underground players to Size Record’s inaugural British connection, many have tried to replicate the energy of their double-barrelled studio output. To date, none have succeeded.
As resilient as they are melodically inclined, these supposedly opposing elements have made for the best of friends amid the rise of this young production outfit. Mustering the invaluable support of Steve Angello for ‘Release’, the song that would later become their Size Records debut, the globe proved as equally taken by their strong-willed production values for the enigmatic follow-up ‘Duel’ as the head honcho of their now permanent musical abode.
Despite their familiar Progressive appeal, Third Party remain a force to be reckoned with amid a musical revolution to which they have contributed considerably. Taking on Electronic luminaries Cicada for ‘Feel’ and making the familiar reverie of Red Hot Chilli Pepper’s ‘Otherside’ their own with a game changing remix, further remix duties for Swedish House Mafia’s ‘Save The World’ as well as Steve Angello & Alex Metric’s ‘Open Your Eyes’ have established them as an outfit of wide ranging ambition and unlimited capabilities to match it.
Still loyal to club and country alike, their global movements alongside their illustrious Swedish peers and their inherited musical bloodline at Size Records remain untamed and intense at the outset of their biggest year to date. Next time you think of double-barrelled British House music, think melodic, think tectonic, think Third Party!
